City Baska

City Baska on the island known for its high quality accommodation facilities, which applies to hotels, camps and private accommodation facilities.
From the early beginnings of tourism steps Baske today passed a hundred years. During this period bašćanska tourist history has experienced an unexpected development. In 1911th Baska is visited by 1575 visitors. Impressive was the number of guests for that period, which was revived Baska's streets and at the same time an increasing number of commoners engaged in tourism activities. However it was only the beginning of a Baske as tourist spots. Its tourism boom has seen Baska 1912th year with 1785 visitors and that number is continuously increasing until today.

Today Baska with its hotels and campsites, all with three or four star, modern buildings homemade, private accommodation, offering a rich number of restaurants and entertainment events, receives more than 10 000 visitors a day and has grown into one of the most popular and attractive tourist centers on our Adriatic. In Baska everyone can find something for themselves: the romantic architecture, whiteness and the blue sea waters made for lovers of deep, history written in stone castle, unique, tradition, customs and culinary specialties of the healthy Mediterranean cuisine. Although Baska on the island, located on the southeast, is well connected with the mainland, the ferry link with the neighboring island of Rab, the bus from other places on the island, and Rijeka, the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. For the needs of tourists on the island is also an airport. Baska has one of the most impressive and oldest cultures in Europe. Its cultural heritage makes it one of the most appealing places in the Croatian Adriatic coast and in Europe generally.
