Sardines

SARDINES
Sea fish from the herring family, up to 25 cm long, olive-green above, silver below. He lives in the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean and the coast is approached in vast flocks from early spring to late fall. Hunts at night under the candle standing or circular purse seine nets. In the Adriatic constitutes up to 50% of the total annual catch. Winter retreats to spawn in deep sea basin.
